What Is Ikhlas?

Ikhlas means sincerity — doing something purely for Allah, with no need for anyone else to notice, praise, or even know. It's the quiet difference between a good deed done for approval and one done for Him alone.

A Reminder from the Qur'an

وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ حُنَفَاءَ

"And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth." (Surah Al-Bayyinah, 98:5)

Sincerity isn't an extra step in worship — it's what makes the worship count in the first place.
