The Sunnah of Reading Surah Al-Kahf on Fridays

A Light Between Two Fridays
"Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf on the day of Jumu'ah, light will shine for him between the two Fridays." (Al-Hakim, authenticated by Al-Albani)
This simple act of worship — just one surah, once a week — carries a promise of light that stays with the reader well beyond the moment of recitation.
How the Surah Opens
"All praise is due to Allah, who has sent down to His Servant the Book and has not made therein any deviance." (Surah Al-Kahf, 18:1)
Surah Al-Kahf tells four powerful stories — the People of the Cave, the man with two gardens, Musa and Al-Khidr, and Dhul-Qarnayn — each carrying lessons about faith, humility, and trusting Allah's plan.
Making It a Habit
Reading it doesn't need to be rushed. Even a few pages before or after Jumu'ah prayer keeps the Sunnah alive — and with Muslim2Pray's reminders, it's easy to build this into your weekly rhythm.
